Ryou and Kaiba keep their relationship pretty quiet from the press and paparazzi. Kaiba is EXTREMELY protective of his privacy, so Ryou is usually not there whenever Kaiba Corp has press conferences and such. Kaiba won’t even acknowledge that he’s in a relationship. Ryou understands this as something Kaiba does to protect him, so he knows not to get upset whenever he sees such statements, since he knows that they are not true.

Though he does get twinges of jealousy every now and then when he sees some celebrities hanging off of him on a magazine cover or something.
